Roasted by Master Lu

Four Seasons Spring Oolong from Master Lu is one of the most traditional and recognizable oolong teas in Taiwan. Made from the Si Ji Chun (Four Seasons) cultivar, this tea is known for its stable quality and its ability to be harvested four times a year, which is how it earned its name.

Grown in the central tea-growing areas of Taoyuan County, Taiwan, at elevations of 400–600 meters, this tea develops a balanced structure and a naturally expressive aroma. The brewed tea has a golden to light yellow liquor with a medium body, offering floral brightness supported by a deeper aromatic backbone.

The Style of Master Lu

When we speak of tea “from Master Lu,” we refer not only to origin, but to craftsmanship.

Master Lu is a well-known tea master in Taiwan and Mainland China, respected for his distinctive roasting style, which has become his signature. Unlike most modern Taiwanese oolongs that emphasize green, floral freshness, Master Lu follows a traditional roasting approach, inspired by techniques that were widely used more than a century ago.

His Four Seasons Spring is carefully roasted using his accumulated experience and intuition. The result is a tea with a warm, gently smoky fragrance and baked sweetness — a profile rarely found in contemporary Si Ji Chun teas.

We value Master Lu’s dedication to tradition and skill, and are proud to share this limited selection of his work with you.
